Server redirect with the parameters? Big fucking deal.
A script to rewrite the parameters to the new ones? Big fucking deal.
So if an affiliate is a partner and the sponsor has done all the work in creating the site, supporting the sponsor, etc.

Why should the partner affiliates fuck the sponsors by pulling the links?

Why not keep those links and make new ones to new sponsors?

As you said the affiliate is a partner. I'm assuming you do a lot of work for your partners and it's all lost if they don't stick to their part of the partnership.

Or is it only the affiliate who's allowed to fuck his partner sponsor?

I'm illustrating the blinkered approach this industry took, that has no logic. Both are independent businessmen, both work hard at working together for as long as it please both of them, both have the right to change their business model at any time. Especially when it suits one to break the partnership.

Affiliates promote sites that suit them and sponsors should have equal rights.

Once they sign a contracted that states a length of time before changing course, then there's a dispute.
