Depending on what you are doing and if you know what you are doing, just running on a service like digitalocean is all you need. They introduced
https://www.digitalocean.com/features/storage/ storage blocks to make them more useful without having to spend gobs of money for cpu and ram you won't need.
If you need up time and don't know your way around a command line probably get a host that is monitored, i.e. mojohost or vacares or whatever.
Hosting costs practically nothing otherwise.
