Silver looks like an amazing bargain right now. Whether its Gold or Silver you're talking about, American Eagles, Canadian Maple Leafs and Krugerrands are liquid pretty much anywhere globally. However, if you're in the USA, I would bet that American Eagles would be slightly more liquid though you may pay a slightly higher premium (but you get it back when you sell it).
It's worth noting that in gold 1 oz Canadian Maple Leaf is slightly smaller than 1 oz Krugerrands. It took me a while to figure it out but its because the larger size of the kruger is to accommodate the added alloy to increase strength whereas maples are more pure.

Thank you for your input. I've gone with the the CML since I've already got a decent stack of ASE.

Specifically about the silver coins. The ASE is $1 face and the CML is $5 face. I'm thinking he CAD will be stronger than the USD in the upcoming years but would it really matter?
As for gold, I prefer options contracts (derivatives) for liquidity and gold miners (GDX).
