I don't know if you've noticed, but the internets pretty much disrupted their business model. Movies aren't the big game in town any more. The movie industry has to battle with videogames, streaming video channels like Netflix, and online piracy to name a few factors off the top of my head.
Throw into the mix the consolidation of entertainment companies into bigger and fewer mega-corporations, and you have a landscape where companies, who must answer to their investors, try to minimize their risks as much as possible, leading to the deluge of reboots/sequels/re-imaginings that are common to take advantage of brand name/built-in audience.
There are creative movies exploring the Black perspective being made, just not by established Hollywood studios. Take "Moonlight" for example, which is getting excellent reviews:

Personally, I don't enjoy the Madea movies, but imho there are more important issues in the world to get upset about that some comedian that's making millions of dollars by putting on a dress.
