The first ever community or so-called social networking was when I ran and called bulletin boards (BBS). If anyone remembers it, I ran a PCBOARD setup with 2 lines because I'd get the zero day wares from IRC like #warez1 or #warez5 using a dial-up terminal. 2400 baud modem which took 1 hour for 1 megabit if my memory serves me right. But then I got into another software called Vision-X. It has message boards which were anonymous so you could talk smack. The only reason why I am mentioning it is because I met so many cool as people from it, we'd have "The BBS Scene" meetings and shoot the shit. 1992 when I started and it was great. The old ANSI-ASCII graphics....
Then AOL Chatrooms to find females to mount....
Then Myspace... A girl tried to get me on Facebook when it became "not only for college kids." And I thought it was dumb as shit. I let my account collect dust until it gained momentum.
And porn was accessible in newsgroups. Alt.binaries.sex.erotica
