I think it was a bad day for everyone. Nobody came out good today.
Trump: Was told 3 times he was not under investigation. Asked that Russia be investigated, but his name cleared in public to let him do his job. But he also asked him to drop the Flynn investigation, while not illegal, also has ethical issues and political fallout. And also likely lied during his Presser and a couple media interviews about not bringing up Flynn.
Comey: Had all these concerns, didn't trust his boss. Yet didn't alert his chain of command about these things. Didn't resign. Offered to tell Trump he was not under investigation unsolicited, but didn't want to announce publicly. And worst of all, leaked government documents in order to force a special investigator.
The media: Exposed for the many false stories they do in order to get viewers and clicks. Using un-named sources to pretty much make shit up to fit the narrative they wish to sell today.
Lynch: Lynch exposed for trying to co-ordinate with the FBI to get on the Clinton campaigning messaging of calling it a matter and not investigation. Comey so concered about her, he steps out to make things public, and even thought about a special investigator but did not do it.
McCain: Dude has lost his mind. Totally incoherent today. His staff had to post on FB that "his message went over the heads of the voters". Many people wondered if he was stroking out this morning.
So all an all, just your typical average day in the swamp that is D.C.
