BTW -- that is a high (highest?) income congressional district in Metro Atlanta.
Whatever the 'local issues' were neither candidate took a position leading to a sizable victory. It's just a congressional race where national 'must-win' politics ruled that day. They (R and D together) spent $50 million. Republicans didn't lose and the Democrats didn't win.
