The DMCA will not be needed for long, since Supreme Court of Canada forces Google world wide to de index all website sharing or selling stolen content....from now on Google must comply upon satisfaction that the site Xyz is handling a stolen content....Basically the DMCA notice will go to Google and the next day the pirate will not be found.
Just check today's rulling in case : Google vs Equustek.... Google lost, there is no appeal. Huge fines to follow...
