:stop ?America?s Got Talent? Honors Deceased Contestant

R.I.P. Dr. Brandon Rogers

On America?s Got Talent, the audition of a contestant who died last month was aired at the request of his family. Dr. Brandon Rogers, 29, graced the stage with his powerful vocals in his taped audition, but tragically, he died in a car accident on June 11. His audition was aired to honor his memory and show what an incredible talent the world is missing.

Singing Stevie Wonder?s ?Ribbon In The Sky,? he brought the audience to their feet. Heidi Klum said, ?There?s something so special about your voice,? and Simon Cowell said, ?You are one of the best singers we?ve had in the competition so far.?

Rogers was inspired to become a doctor by of a difficult situation he faced as a child. When he was 6 years old, his mother nearly died. Rogers said, ?The doctors were like heroes. They saved her life, and it made me want to be the doctor that I am today.?

Rogers?s life, his voice and the work he did as a doctor are incredible losses, and our hearts go out to his family and friends.

America?s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
