No. Your analogy own is silly as fuck. Сars do kill. Planes do kill. Even olives and cherries kill people sometimes, but they do that by an accident. They are not intended to kill by default.
On the other hand, the things like Steve Rupe and Kim Jong-un want to own are WMD's (weapon of mass destruction). They are made to kill as many people as possible and they don't even choose a target. Course Kim's nuke is able to kill a bigger mass of people than Steve's assault riffle, but does the number is so important when we speak about human lives?
What do you think: 50 killed, 12 dying and 400 injured is a mass or not? What is a definition of the world "mass" then? What a sane person would want to have an automatic assault riffle in the city populated by civilians? How exactly do you want to use it? I'm not a girl and I've been to army. I know what suppressive fire means and how the automatic riffles work. It's a weapon of an attacking soldier on a battle field as well as it's a tool of a maniac in the city. A maniac like the one who has killed 50-60 today in Vegas (50 are dead already but more will join them... unfortunately).
