The problem with the 'red team blue team' mentality is that it's predicated on British values of fair play. This is why we Brits coded many of the major sports.
If British values of fairness are no longer dominant in America, then none of this stuff even matters. The 'red team blue team' is just for show, because behind the scenes those with the real power will cheat and swindle. There's no referee to call foul.
