I've been thinking & saying this for years.... It was only a matter of time before terrorists got smart and start using military tactics to these attacks. Why send in a single bomber to kill thirty people when you can put bomb in place, kill thirty, and then kill hundreds more as they flee.
Here in the US we are huge targets. Wait until they attack an oil refinery and set it off. It will kill thousands.

Back before 9/11 I used to drive past Patrick AF base on A1A in FL and think how easy it would be to run though the fence in a car or truck and simply destroy millions of dollars of aircraft.. It was like all just sitting there a easy target.. Just about anyone could get on the base as well, I used to go there a lot for surplus sales.
After 9/11 happened like a few days later, I was driving to work and overnight the military had set up sand bag positions in the middle of A1A armed with M60 machine guns, and completely blocked off the road.
It was closed for close to a year, they wanted to keep it blocked off permanently but local govts were having a shit storm because lack of traffic was killing tourism in Cocoa Beach.. They bombed proofed a building that was near the highway and built a big ass wall allong the road at the critical points. They no longer just leave planes on the air strips near the highway as well..
Basically, someone woke the fuck up and realized that base was vunerable as fuck...
There are things like this all over the place, doesnt have to be military targets either., There is simpky far too many targets to secure.. Honestly Im simply amazed there hasnt been more sucessful attacks.
It just shows people who do these attacks are not very intelligent or well trained. Same can be said of most of these mass shooters, its not hard to set up a situation where you could kill a few hundrend people...
I mean hell even that vegas shooter, had all the guns and ammo he could possibly need and over all considering he was literally shooting fish in a barrel he killed a very small precentage. Also look at the guy in DC who attacked the baseball field.
That guy along could have single handely taken out 15 to 20 congressmen if he wasnt such a bad shot.. He ended up wounding one.
Yeah, we are pretty fucking vunerable, but seems most of these guys are pretty bad at what they do. A hand full of specal ops trained guys could literally do so much more carnal damage than what 100s of these brainwashed fools can do, so I dont worry too much about jihadists or nutters.. I worry about what a sane person with a clear target list could do..
