They said the same thing here in Oregon. At first, prices were high, not that high but high. Everyone bitched that prices were too high and sales wouldn't be there. Sales were fine and only grew because more and more stores opened and more and more growers went into business or expanded and now prices are fair, an 8th runs $20-$35 depending on what you get.
Right now there are a limited number of stores open in Cali. with many more rolling out over the next weeks and months. I have a feeling sales are going to be just fine.
