They would go home to Mexico or whatever country they came from if they could? I don't doubt that at all. Many of them are here simply because they don't have any opportunity in their home country so they send money back to their families. One of the guys I knew was a teacher in Mexico but made more money and had a better life working as a janitor in the US.
No matter if they want to go home or not, how is a wall going to change any of that? Wouldn't it make more sense to make it harder for them to get welfare and jobs here?
