Yet another topic you're totally oblivious about.
This has jack shit to do with 'allies' and everything to do with power. US priority never was ISIS, but they had to fight them eventually because they were out of control.
US priority was always a pro US regime change: Assad had to go. But Assad is Putins partner so Putin wants Assad to stay. Now that common enemy and secondary objective ISIS has been pretty much diminished, primary US objective Assad will be getting their attention again very quickly.
