by modern standards very few would enjoy living in the past. 1915 my grandma rode in a covered wagon for 2 days to go 30 miles. now I am sending directions to my car from my office. any positive emotional experience you wish from the past can had right now, but better.
my thought is that today humanity has more opportunity for betterment and helping others then at any other time in history. this is why I'm sending emails about protecting the schools, with gun debates on moratorium for 6 months. I believe one man can make a difference. you?

interesting story this Nika riots, didn't know this but i do not like byzantine empire to much i was always focused on early years rome at it's greatness and way to it.
we all can build better life literally for everyone on the planet, it's something what Jacque Fresco was trying to convince ppl to with his project venus - no matter how naive it was or accurate i think it's doeable with good will, which won't happend without civilization reset imo.
and yes, history is full of one man's making differences but usually not in peaceful way, sendign emails is noble hope it will work. i've also been thinking about schools and i thought that schools should be protected with armed ppl, just to scare off nutheads, not in Poland ofc and not atm cuz there is no threats here but in US for sure.
