This whole 'charity' thing sounds nice and there's nothing wrong with it apart from 200k of tax payer money used for a program that either should or shouldn't have been in the budget.
But it is also merely a charade to calm down the public while there's a shakedown that was orchestrated by their lawyer, extorting money from Starbucks directly.
So in reality - they made the city spend an additional 200 k of tax payer money while cashing in what is likely six figures from Starbucks, with a hefty share for their lawyer. Doesn't sound like charity does it.
