Like the POTUS himself all his followers dont seem to have the first idea why trade imbalances happen.
Then you have the Trump apologists who think that this ludicrous trade war is Trumps way of negotiating a new trade deal. This is not negotiating, this is acting like a 2 year old.
Trumps spokes persons say that he just want parity, and I have no problem with that if there are genuinely unfair import tarrifs in place. But FFS why can he not act like an adult, pick up the phone and make a case to Americas friends and allies ?
No he just makes ridiculous remarks about “terrible deals”, and other countries “taking advantage” of the US, which any one with a brain knows is nonsense.
Vendzilla is a wonderful example of this - he thinks the trade imbalance is because of tarrifs that the pesky Chinese put on good ol’Uncle Sams honest goods, when the truth is a lot more painful to admit.
The Chinese make good stuff at a price that US consumers want to pay. Simple.
The Chinese are not taking advantage, every post industrial western country has the same problem with low labour cost consumer goods.
Trump needs to open his eyes, listen to the economists that he employs, and stop acting like a fucking jerk. Then the carnage might stop.
