The royals have already been 'enriched' (Harry was introduced to Meghan by a Jewish matchmaker), so no, probably not.
I'm sure there were historical monarchs who were gay, but they were discreet about it because they weren't trying to change the culture. They probably respected England for what it was, instead of trying to change it into what they wanted it to be.
