Mike Pence is a legit, bonafide, right wing evangelical. He believes you can use shock treatment to make gay people straight. He will not consume alcohol unless his wife is present and will not dine with other women if his wife isn't present.

The right will rally around him. Not only will they love his beliefs after Mr. Fucks Pornstars Raw, they will love that he is calm, professional, and willing to carry out their agenda.

Many people could see him as reasonable so he could attract a good number of votes from independents. He could easily sell himself as someone with Trump's economic ideas (which Republicans love) without all the other shit (which they don't). In short, he could be hard to beat in an election. With the newly right-leaning Supreme Court, Pence could rally Republicans and and take this country on a hard turn to the right.

Another thing to think about. If Pence were to serve less than 2 years of Trump's term, he could then run for election twice. Yes, we could end up with nearly 10 years of Pence.
