evidently, not many have been the target or can understand the concept of it.

Friendships/Alliances can be built by those that have the same hate. Those that desire power tap into it for their own purpose. But they can not always control what they create. Each person has their own breaking point.

If I allow anyone to hate you, I may be the next focus of attention for some other reason.

If you fertilize that algae, it will grow until it burns itself out and nothing is left.

Society has unknowingly allowed this to take root again. For most are passive folks. And we don't like talking about the ugly side of our own humanity.
