I know that military spending is high.
Low wage workers contribute less than they take out of the system. Educating their children, health, housing, policing, etc. They are lowering wages which means more people have less to spend. Then as they retire and stay in the West, they expect pensions. Then there are the workers being paid under the table because they can.
The biggest problem now is paying the huge bills mass migration has caused. With more people on lower wages it has lowered tax revenues and spending.
