This is my point. There was a wild swing under Obama - a very dramatic swing. But this result was mediocre at best. And what I am saying is that - using this forum as an example or the media like CNN and MSNBC et al, we've been told daily that things are bad and only getting worse. Everyone now has racists under their beds and white supremacists in their closets and Trump is trying to start a nuclear war. Clearly, the mid terms paint a VERY different picture of voter sentiment as do the daily poll numbers for Trump. People care about the same things today as they did in 2016. Economy. Immigration. Tax reform. Health Care etc etc etc etc and Democrats have nothing to say about what voters care about... just "Resist" and "impeach" and a constant chorus of "Orange Man Bad". Voters obvious aren't looking at the same political landscape people on this forum are.
