Most takeout Chinese food is in a plastic container with a plastic top. I prefer the boxes you show as it stays hotter. I’d rather keep it whole and dig to the bottom for hot food.
Some restaurants use the styrofoam containers which I don’t like. They staple it closed and digging out the staple leaves a hole.
I used to ask for soup containers with tight covers. Easy to eat from, cover keeps out air and it stays hot. The dishwasher cleans it for reuse.
I’ll try that ketchup trick. I just use it for fries but you can’t put much of the fried potato in there. Double dipping works but this way is better..
