That was one of those lines where if you didn't have a seat, you stand by a white person. They wasn't going past 96th uptown. The only train that stops local in east harlem, right through the essence of it.

Way better now. Completely different world on them trains now.
LOL I'm white and the rule was - never go above 96th! We all had stories about the "one time the train went express and I had to go to 125th" you get the sinking feeling in your stomach, then, "I have to act tough, and like I know where I'm going, black people respect people who look confident" LOL then you tell stories about it for weeks. The 1/9 was my train.
