According to the Affiliate Agreement it is even less than 4 days:
"The Company will not pay the Affiliate a commission if a Promotional Link directs a Consumer to a Model Site, but that Consumer leaves that Model Site and returns to that Model Site over
24 hours later to buy a Model Offering without going through the Promotional Link again."

So if I understand this correctly, even if a user registers through your link right away you won't make anything after 24h. Pretty much what the OP was saying.
