Single spot fires on the side of the road somewhere.. are like Chimney fires here.. nothing burgers, sure occasionally one will flare up but over all we have much bigger issues.
When lightening hits a area of dry bush/forest often 20 miles from any roads, it can start thousands of fires within a hour, and hour later they have combined and you have a real fire.. That was basically the scenario for vast majority of the fires last year.
Fire is serious business here, your caught in season throwing a ciggy out of a car window... that's arson, rubbish fire in backyard.. arson, fireworks.. arson. And that why so many are charged, just realise it doesn't translate in to lunatic with a can of petrol and a match very often.
Might I add most of those areas hit by fire, tomorrow have snow forecast, dams here are flooding they're overfull, flood is the next danger.
