I don't identify with Adele or any other singer. That's for teenies. She wrote better songs when she was fat. Fact.
She's done the Hollywood thing. They did it to Kate Winslet after Titanic too ... until she said fuck it. Both look better slimmer and for sure will be healthier. But that's not really relevant to the quality of her music.
