 As for $14,000, the "golden ratio" for chargebacks is 1.4%, although that is changing, so a person who does real volume, i.e. over a 1m, will have $14,000 in chargebacks and be considered good.
 
 Chargebacks have become too customer favored in the last 5 years, and even Paypal your boyfriend knows it.  It goes back and forth.
