The solution is to use the WP Rollback plugin and roll back Yoast to 19.13. If it works without issue then count yourself lucky.
As well it's probably the time to disable Wordpress updates.

It looks like what you say, time to disable automatic updates.
I think i am not going to try to roll back Yoast, i am going to try All in one Seo. Have read some articles and from these it looks like it's better then Yoast.
