The money they "gave" me far exceeded what I was expecting.
Instead of asking them about that "today" I am going to wait a month or two, to see if they will send me the equivalent money again.
There is a theory in customer service that it's cheaper and easier to throw money at problem, in this case giving money to the affiliate, rather than trying to track down what went wrong, and hiring one developers to plug the leak for the future.
Either way, I have money.
