Hello there and welcome to the forum! It's always an great idea to improve financial situation. Well, I have to be completely honest that I'm relatively new to the adult industry but I'm getting there and already making some buck here and there. My advice would be to recommend doing something YOU actually like. Nobody wants to work hard. Do something you like and you will never have to work a day again. i.e choose a niche you find interesting enough and start exploring ways how to generate some income in it.
There are multiple ways how you can make money in XXX. Lets imagine a scenario where you buy a domain name + script to run either embed or self hosted videos on your so called tube site. You have decent SEO strategy with lets say targeting long tailed keywords.
You can make money from
1) Affiliate Networks (kinda passive income). By promoting their products you will get revenue share. Bear in mind that you will need to be really creative because competition is always there
2) Ad networks (kinda active income). Placing pop-unders, banners and other ad formats across your website. Of course don't go over the board with it because this can negatively affect user experience.
3) Selling videos. For example KVS tube script offers themes for this endeavour.
4) And many more... Just have to be creative... Or atleast try to be!
This comes from my personal experience running video hosted site. This is only one path you could be taking. I strongly suggest reading this forum and exploring another ways so that you can find a path that aligns with your interests. Because as I mentioned earlier - there is no use to do something if you don't enjoy the proccess! =]
