As it stands now I would say that Wordpress with a decent theme is probably the equal of the old Mechbunny script. Scheduling and creating quality galleries is pretty easy. Check out one of Fris's themes.
I find that image sites generate a ton of traffic and those who look at images are more likely to be buyers.
