I get the same feeling during the "runner's high", and I used to run and fucking love it. Where I live now is shit for running, but maybe I can figure something out to get that high again.

Definitely got the "high" from low-carb, but the crash was insane. I'd argue that I had a worse and less manageable crash from having zero carbs in my system than coming off a 2-3 day coke and booze bender. On coke and booze, you come down gentle but painful, headache, sweats, shitty sleeps, needing takeout food. But when you come down from llow-carb, it is like your brain is totally empty. At least with a hangover and coke, you feel negative. With the low-carb thing, I felt, like my brain was empty. It was a blank space. Like I could sit and just blankly stare out in the world and feel nothing. That's why low carb is so hard for me.

Also, tired of talking to people when I try low carb and they bleat like morons: "But he died of heart failure!!!"
