I think Apple is getting slightly better at, and focusing on, putting out a very stable software product...
for regular users. But that's the catch: regular users in the Mac ecosystem don't use non-app store software, and they generally don't use non-Apple software if they can help it.
Myself? Uptime is very important for me, so I take my time to make sure things are very stable before I do major upgrades (excluding security updates, which need to be prioritized.)
