I built my largest company when I was broke. Talking $44 per day to start. I was 43 years old. Being broke at 43 sucked. It sucked so bad that I got very motivated to do better.

By years end I got it doing $320 per day.
The next year I ended doing $1556 per day.

And it just keeps growing.

Don't smoke pot except to turn your mind off after the day is done. Don't drink regularly. Though, some of my best content was written while drinking. But you know yourself better than anyone else does. So if you know drinking isn't going to help, don't do it.

In those first 2 to 3 years I worked 10 to 18 hour days. I rarely took a day off. I latched on to one idea and ran with it. I also partnered with somebody who complimented my weaknesses.

I hate dotting I's and crossing T's. I hate lots of things about my business. He loves them. I am an artist who needs somebody to refocus me. He's a straight up kind of guy who needs somebody to ask, "What if? And why not?" To break the rules once in awhile. To fuck around and find out.

Is GFY a place of business? I wouldn't have known him without it. So, yeah. It is.
Great fucking reply and very validating for me as I'm in the same boat.

I was doing great, making quarter million a year from client work, spent $70k traveling in 2022 alone, accepted a $200k investment into my business, quit all client work and put $150k of my own into it, made a bunch of bad business decisions that ended up costing a lot of money, depression set in from a toxic relationship and basically wasted the last 2 years and $350k and now I'm literally living on credit cards while I bounce back. I am confident I will bounce back, but I did the same thing. I quit drinking, I stopped pittying myself and am getting my shit together and build my business back up. Found another client to pay bills and grow.

Won't ever quit weed though, like you said, it helps me unwind and shake the stress off at the end of the day, but I did scale it back to only after I'm done working for the day.

I'm putting in 10-16 hour days every day and don't let up unless it's a day I have my kid because she's a high enough priority to be able to do that.

If you want to change your situation then only you can do it and you gotta give up the shit that is holding you back and get your ass in gear.

Lets go Huggles. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps.
