Since we're almost always using some type of AMS (usually NATS,) that eliminates any element of trust. You just check the stats and get your payout via the specified medium. When a program stops paying out, people generally abandon it (and post about it here.)

I built a suite of addons that my clients use to effect these upsells. As far as I know, it can be lucrative, but you do take on additional risk of upsetting the customer. xsale's will piss some people off, because they do not read the fine print. It's easier when you xsale your own internal sites, for that reason. Full page ads and deals will upset customers who are looking for a higher standard product. It's better to keep that stuff segmented and encourage use, but not overwhelm the customer.

The 1-click cancellation addon that I built has been effective at reducing chargebacks, which helps with this sort of risk. The 1-click webcam conversion has been effective at retargeting users before they unsubscribe, because they will generally pick a webcam whitelabel and stick with it.

Hope that helps!
Thank you for the reply. It does help.
