I lived where it snowed. There are some pros to it. As a kid we had sleds and build forts and and had epic show ball fights. Even as you get older... I used to ski, we had snowmobiles... I myself had a trike, a Yamaha 250.
But then one day you notice you spent an entire day shoveling snow. Then the power goes out for two days the entire family huddles up in front of the wood stove, the same wood stove you spend all summer collecting wood for.
I don't want to adjust. And I was bothered by it. It's a major pain in the ass.
I still have family and friends in NJ and New England. They are on Facebook saying "here we go again". This morning I went to a ground breaking ceremony a few blocks from my house and took my dog. I've decided to live some place where it doesn't snow and we don't have such problems.
