heh
I remember when people partied and still conducted business professionally. A few drinks in an evening works as a nice icebreaker, but getting slammed isn't a nice impression
Personally the last convention that I was at, was last year in vegas when I had fun and did excellent business.
I haven't been to most of these conventions where all this action has taken place. In 2000/01 even the parties were still business themed. I was young, intimidated and nervous and still held my intergrity after a few drinks because I felt good to just be in the room with the industry leader. I was always more concerned with business than drinking my face off.
Why would you wanna make an ass out of yourself at these places by getting all hammered and twisted. Your paycheck is at stake. If yer small party is going out and getting rowdy, take it somewhere else and far away from the convention and the planners. The adult biz does not need this stupidity associated with it at all. I mean publicity is one thing but while under the scrutiny of the media and goverment?
I will be in vegas for the next show. I look forward to doing some old school biz with you guys and making some money.
As for the children at adult business meetings/suppers. I have to agree with Aaron etc, that this is probably not the best idea for all partues involves. The adult conversation mixed with biz . alcohol and money is no place for people under 18.
Aaron, we have definately had our difference in the past and I agree that misappropriate behavior does not belong. Accidental actions and miscommunication does happen and I do believe in giving people a second chance.. you?
However public urination, fire alarms, vandalism and sexual assault have no place anywhere in the professional environment and these actions should have permament disciplinary action. Especially by the emmployers.
Sorry guys, thought like writing and this is a good topic for discussion
