Seems like a problem with DNS servers. If you go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections, what do you see in there?
Also, click on "LAN Settings", are there any check-marks?
Lastly, try to go to Start -> Run -> ping
www.yahoo.com, does that return pings?
