FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

jessica drake to Co-Present Seminar at
American Association of Sexuality Educators,
Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Conference

Guide to Wicked Sex™ Creator to Discuss the Important
Role of Sex Workers in Sex Education with Angela Gunn June 15

PHILADELPHIA, PA - (June 5, 2019) - Adult superstar, sex educator and exclusive Wicked Pictures contract star jessica drake will share her insights on sex education and sex workers at American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Conference on Saturday, June 15 at 2:45 pm. That day drake, along with sex therapist Angela Gunn, will lead the seminar Sex Workers as Allies and Teachers: Exploring Why We Need Them in Our Professional Circles, and What We Can Learn From Them About Sex Education, Navigating Oppression and Healing.

jessica’s appearance marks one of the few times an adult performer or sex worker has presented at the prestigious event. The conference will take place June 13-16 at Loews Philadelphia Hotel in Philadelphia. The event will gather professionals from a variety of disciplines such as sexuality education, counseling, therapy, research, social work, psychology, sociology, nursing, medicine, and more. For registration information, click here.

“This will be my third year attending, and my very first year to present at the conference. I am so grateful to Angie for partnering with me and I’m incredibly pleased our panel was selected by AASECT,” drake said. “It’s a great opportunity to acknowledge and explore the valuable contributions sex workers provide to our understanding of sexuality, relationships and ability to express ourselves intimately. I’m excited at the prospect of so many professionals from various backgrounds joining together and exploring the unique value of sex workers’ lived experiences. This panel will hopefully challenge some ideas of who we are and what we truly need from allies and professionals alike, while also sharing sentiments gathered from many different sex workers. Someone you know is or was a sex worker. Let us share some ideas with you in hopes of establishing a stronger rapport and increasing understanding and compassion.”

The seminar, which takes place from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. will focus on the lessons that can be learned from sex workers, their activism, their freedom of expression and their authenticity. The seminar aims to bring their important voice to the forefront, honoring the experiences, teachings and identities of those individuals on the front lines while also bringing forth vital lessons to support sexual healing, expression and the balance of professional roles and personal pleasure.

Nominated Sexpert of the Year and Crossover Star of the Year at the 2019 XBIZ Awards, jessica drake is known for everything from her best-selling adult movies and popular live appearances to social activism and public speaking. She is also a frequent contributor to a variety of media outlets as well as being a highly sought-after sexual wellness speaker and educator who lectures at universities and leads seminars and workshops around the world. About jessica drake:
An exclusive Wicked Pictures performer, writer, and director, as well as a global humanitarian and emerging sexual wellness authority, jessica drake’s brilliant career is illuminated by her prodigious talent and adult industry clout. A recipient of three coveted AVN Best Actress awards and AVN’s Mainstream Star of the Year honor, jessica has solidified her status as one of the industry’s most illustrious stars. However, it is her time invested in healing, working alongside, and educating the public of which she is most proud. In her self-directed, written, and produced “jessica drake’s Guide to Wicked Sex” series of instructional videos, jessica brings erotic topics to life through intimate demonstrations performed by some of today's top adult stars. Each edition addresses a different aspect of human sexuality, which is presented in the spirit of inclusion and explored with a distinct blend of knowledge, experience, and good humor. The series has earned recognition from AVN, XBIZ, and The Feminist Porn Awards, and is available on DVD, VOD and multiple streaming platforms.

A charismatic public speaker, the same demand for her modern sex education DVDs also takes jessica around the world - presenting seminars and workshops at expos, retail outlets, and colleges like USC, UCLA, and Chapman University – where she speaks to curious adults desiring to learn more about sex, romance, and communication. jessica also continues to be a paramount voice for sex workers across the world - she’s spoken at the Let Us Survive march, a rally for sex worker rights, and is a continuing sponsor of one of the first summits for sex workers, CatalystCon.

While jessica is certainly a performer at heart, her passion for sex education, advocacy, and inclusion are just as potent. “My passion comes from personal experience,” she states candidly, “from the idea we are all connected.”
