Mainstream website?
Hi, I want to know what a mainstream website is considered? I mean all that is not porn is considered mainstream or I there is something more specific.
I have three domains that I want to make them on babe niche, but only in lingerie, bikinis, celebs and so on. That would include a website in mainstream? Or is an edgy niche? |

My interpretation of mainstream is basically a non-porn site or non-gore violent type site, celebs, bikinis, babes, lingerie, is kind of like looking at Sports illustrated or Victoria Secret or the old sears catalog in the 70's hehe, no nudity pretty mainstream or a gaming type site or auto pics etc. would be mainstream, but again that is my interpretation, I'm sure there are a bunch of opinions and views!!

babe is not exactly mainstream. it will end up being looked at or treated as a porn site. babes and google adsense won't mix well.
if you can find another sponsor, then go for it. mainstream is something like humor, gaming, movies, clothes, ecommerce, and other forms of affiliate marketing.

Yeah I consider non nude babe and lingerie sub niches of softcore. Celeb too if you mean sexy celeb pics. Celeb gossip/news would be mainstream.

As long as you are not including nude photos and sex related content in your website, everything is fine.

It can depend on the theme of the site.
Bekini for instance, are you selling bikinis or are you selling the girl in the bikini? Match.com would be considered mainstream but Ashley Madison not so much. Again there selling 2 different versions of the same idea. |
