A porn star claimed more than £60,000 in benefits while making X-rated films.

Kinky Clare Evans, 32, earned almost £1,000 a month cavorting on saucy websites.


But the 34C blonde also claimed income support payouts, housing benefit and council tax freebies totalling £62,747 over six years.


Council officials launched an investigation after they spotted her £40,000 Audi TT sports car in her drive.


The mum-of-three, who is four months pregnant, was jailed for 10 months yesterday.


Evans boasts on one website that she has posed for lads’ mags FHM and Zoo and flashed her flesh on Channel 4 and pay-per-view adult channels. She also says she will do topless and “open leg” shoots.


Evans, of Pill, near Bristol, who works under a porn “stage name”, purrs on her site: “I have been told I am a pleasure to work with and always have a smile on my face.”


But she had the smile wiped off her face at Bristol Crown Court. She wept as she was led away to start her jail term after the court heard that she had a previous conviction for benefit fraud in 2008.


Judge Martin Picton said: “This crime outweighs any sympathy. This was a vast sum of money in benefit fraud terms.”


Her lawyer said she had signed up to train as a children’s nurse and was trying to put her porn career in the past.

Income support, housing benefit and council tax reduction are all means tested - you can have a small income and get them but she will probably have been saying she earned nothing.

I think "almost £1,000 a month" is a slight exaggeration, down.

She was making less than £2,000 a month in total. Paying her rent out of that, food, heating, etc. Then what were the freebies, did she pay here local tax? How can she afford a £40,000 car??????

Even so £1,000 a month might of taken her out of the benefits trap. Yes it's a trap. For a lot of people in the UK it pays them more to sit at home and do nothing. Paying for their housing has also sent rent prices sky high. I know when I sold my UK home that the buyer was going to let it to people who were getting their rent paid. It was the best investment he ever made.

Living expenses in the UK have to be £1,000 doesn't leave enough for a £40,000 car to buy and run. Those babies cost a fortune to insure.

Did she have a career besides web cams, maybe a more personal service?
