Introducing RedPass at XbizLA

I am happy to announce that I will be part of RedPass.com which will launch on Feb 28th. At RedPass we will strive to be the ultimate payroll solution for the adult industry.

RedPass as a sister company to Zombaio.com, is owned by Cawen Financial Group. Cawen Financial Group is registered as a financial institution in Europe.

My primary responsibilities will be sales and support, I look forward to working with everyone. If you are at XbizLA and would like more information about RedPass, look me up. I will be here for the next couple of days. I can also be reached at [email protected]

The part about this being "the ultimate payroll solution" worries me. As long as no one tries to force me to use it in order to receive payment we won't have any problems... I'll be sticking with check, ACH, or wire for now. I like keeping things between myself and the sponsor without any "Middle Men", thank you very much. But good luck with it.

RedPass is a online Wallet with a MasterCard attached for ATM withdrawals where it is possible to receive payments from sponsors.

So more like epass/Paxum than Webmaster Checks? When you said payroll, I was thinking Webmaster Checks style.

I would really think that anything with "pass" in the name that is related to an "online wallet" might not be the best marketing route.

Yes you can transfer funds from your Zombaio account to your RedPass account instantly.
Same if you promote sites thru Zombaio's affiliate system you will be able to transfer the money to your RedPass account.

I don't care what they call it.

Zombaio have my trust already, and so anything that gets my money to me cheaper and quicker which if it works as initially outlined, this will, is greatly appreciated.

Michael if you need some pre launch guinea pigs, let me know, I would be happy to contribute.

Don't like to be pesimistic, but i don't like this. In the light of all the previous failures, it always came down to people biting more then they can chew, or leveraging themselves with more of other people's money and then abusing that trust. Epass was fine untill they started playing with money that's not theirs and investing it. Zombaio is a biller, and now an epass replacement. I can see how it would be a match made in heaven, but they don't have such a long track record in the industry for so much more trust they want people to invest in them, so scared they might start covering holes with the new investment stream....

Dunno. If it was ccbill/epoch doing it, would effectively shut all other replacements, i'm pretty sure, but they're not doing it for a reason probably. Dunno. Hope i'm wrong. Will probably end up using one of these services eventually, just not right no

If you already process with Zombaio I don't believe there is any increase in risk with them paying out via this card, but there are savings in the elimination of sending and receiving wire costs, and they rack up, especially when international banks are involved.

What Zombaio are doing is actually very good business. They are streamlining the payout process by keeping it inhouse.

But more importantly they are showing how a processor should be thinking in 2011. ccbill are too expensive. The odd few % here and there matter to site owners. Controlling your costs (as Will76 regularly states) is essential to being able to stay in business nowadays.

Whilst this is great news for Zombaio customers, I am sure their prime motivation is not just to improve their already good service, but also to encourage more people to take that first step to try them.

My only worry with this, and I hope that Zombaio take this particular issue seriously is that they have to be careful that they only issue cards to people whose identity they have properly verified. Know your customer.

Well, I hate to be "that guy"... but I'm staying far the fuck away from this and any other company who uses Mike's GFY username as their sheep herder.

Nothing against Mike himself. I think he just does his job and collects his checks, doubt he knows or cares why and how these companies use his username.

Zombiao has been good to me so far.

1) What are the rates (if any) to transfer your Zombaio payout to your card?

2) What are the rates for withdrawing money at an ATM?

I'm getting a wire right now, if rates are better a card may be good, but I'm not about to leave any balance sitting on that card.

Jesus. What dreadful copy!

"Hi, we're shit at launching something, but when we get there, it will be GREAT! HONEST! Please give me your money."

I would have gone for something like:

"Some things take a little longer than expected"

And have a pic of the Empire State building, or pioneers going across Nevada etc.

"We know that trust is the most important aspect of who you choose to bank with, which is why we decided to delay the launch of our new product. We needed to more the most testing possible, set the highest standards, meet and pass all guidelines, so we gave ourselves an extra month to make sure we hit the ground running. Come see us at XBiz LA etc"

or just

"We know that you trust people face to face best when it comes to money. So we decided to move our launch to coincide with XBizLA so we could meet as many of you as possible."

anything would be better than what is there now imho!

I am going to be honest. I am a Zombaio client and this makes me very uneasy that you're going to be involved. I'm sorry "MichaelO", but the whole Epass situation is an absolute fucking nightmare, (I am not accusing you of anything, but the fact is you spoke on their behalf). That whole situation is still fresh, it was only a few months ago you were on here promising people that wires would be paid out.

I agree, some businesses in the adult industry make some odd decisions. Unless they were losing money and were willing to take some risks to get back on top, then why do it? Their business was fine, they could have expanded but why take the risk associated with bringing somebody on board people are skeptical about? I know alot of well established businesses and they prefer to not associate themselves with anybody linked to drama. Whether they are in the right or wrong.
