Believe it or not, China is trying to copy America, not defeat America. They are desperately trying to figure out how companies like Google and Apple still originate in America and nowhere else. This is what they want.

China got big by building huge, polluting factories, filling them with slave labor, and producing goods that nobody else wanted to build. They didn't get where they are by innovating. And to be number one, you have to innovate.

Not saying it can't happen. But when China starts innovating, then I'll worry. China just builds the products the rest of the world invents.

The China market is completely fake.... it would take an hour to list all the ways that overly prove this.

The biggest sign is the housing/building/city growth bubbles they're having, or lack of.. are all fake. From the raw materials, the labor, every aspect of it is super super super super over inflated... The gov is ultra injecting money into the economy to force it's growth, however the extreme majority of the population doesn't have enough money or job/money to afford the lowest scale of growth the Country is forcing.

China recently jacked up the prices of rare earth metals, doubling the price over night.... they didn't run out, they didn't get more buyers, they didn't stop mining for it, so why did they do it? Well, rare metals is one of the Countries largest exports... so they - ie: the Gov, forced business to jack up the prices, with the idea of hording it, and what's it doing? Sky rocketing the GDP making them look bigger than they really are.

What they doing is making China be on our playing field, labor wise, but they don't have the social economy to support that, so it will fail. As this continues though, it will make it so China isn't 'cheap' enough to do business with anymore, thus moving our extended economy from them to someone else.

I buy products from China, by the 1000's per time... we canceled our last order when they doubled our prices. We found a nice Texas company that was 1 cent more per unit than what we were originally being charged.

As China grows, it will grow out of America's Pockets as well....

Someone else here made a good point, the percentage of Chinese that actually have REAL PAYING jobs make about average 30% or less what the average American makes yearly.

All in all they need to grow and more chinese need to make more money...all they do is buy American crap, they are the largest growing market for US exports

Because as they continue to counterfeit our goods, less and less companies outsource future goods to them for fear of being copied/counterfeited and/or being sold counterfeited items themselves. Thus more and more Companies are producing less and less with them already, so if they want a future that includes any of our major Industries, they need to get counterfeiting under control.

This is just another reason though why they will not be a super power anytime in the near future.

The entire Chinese economy is so last century. America is struggling right now and a big part is because we are transitioning from last centuries economy to a new economy, one that is still an evolving target. But anyone who thinks that giant factories producing products is the "future" is just totally out of touch with reality.

Intellectual property is a big part of it as well. With such loose IP rules, anyone in China with a good idea will come to America (or Europe) to start their business. If they stay in China, their idea will just be stolen and they will make no money. So basically, anyone in China with a groundbreaking idea ends up leaving. People boast about all the PHDs being trained in China, but guess what, they will all come to America or go to Europe and benefit those countries, not China. That's another reason why I hate that America is becoming somewhat xenophobic. When you attract the smartest people from around the world, you don't have to worry about being number one, it just happens by itself. We should always welcome foreigners, it keeps us on top. For example, Google and Intel were both started by foreigners, but America benefits when they come here to set up shop.
