Porn Guardian Adds New Clients, Takes a 360 Degree, 24/7 Approach

Porn Guardian Adds New Clients, Takes a 360 Degree, 24/7 Approach

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 2, 2011 ? Florida

Today Porn Guardian, the adult industry?s fastest growing anti-piracy company, announced that it has added several more high-profile clients after its much talked about showing at The Phoenix forum, which included a "Dunk a Pirate" booth. In the last month alone, Porn Guardian is now providing its 24/7, staffed solution for fighting copyright infringement to Falcon Studios, Lucas Entertainment, Bel Ami, Cocky Boys, Kink.com, Grooby Productions, Staxus Entertainment, XES Entertainment, ManAvenue, Papi Thugz, Men at Play, StraightHell, and several other high-profile studios. The company includes clients in every major category: gay, straight and transexual.

Not simply a DMCA Take-Down service, Porn Guardian offers several other services that stop pirates in their tracks. "Instead of simply playing 'whack-a-mole' after a pirate has done his damage, we have technology in place to identify the actual members who are doing the initial pirating. That way, we are able to stop pirates from ever gaining access to the material to begin with. This is the most effective way to stop pirates, not just clean up after them," says partner Dominic Ford.

The company is also looking beyond traditional forms of piracy. ?Cyberlockers (filesharing hosts) are still doing the most damage,? said partner Peter Phinney. ?But we?ve seen DVD bootlegging on auction sites gain in popularity in recent months.? The company has dismantled several online e-commerce ?stores? that were selling DVD-R copies of feature films in paper sleeves for just a few dollars. In some cases, these operations were pushing as many as 2,000 titles, running illegal copies on demand per sale, and even offering free shipping and multiple title discounts.

Porn Guardian also announced that it has broadened its reach and now employs 20 staff members across 17 time zones in all 4 hemispheres, so there are eyes on the screen around the clock and around the globe, searching for illegal files in 10 languages including Russian, Slovak, Czeck, Spanish, French, Dutch and Philipino (Tagalog and its many dialects.) ?Piracy is a global problem and we offer the industry?s only truly global solution,? said Porn Guardian partner Dominic Ford. ?Pirates are working across the globe 24/7, and so must we. Otherwise, we can never hope to win.? Ford said.
The company is known to have the best reporting and evidence gathering in the industry, and is currently working on several legal cases, providing crucial evidence to its clients' attorneys. Says Phinney, "Our service is completely transparent. We supply our clients with complete details about what sites their content is showing up on, who is posting them, where they are hosting their files, and much, much more. The level of our reporting is beyond anything the industry has seen. Clients who also use our watermarking services can see who originally downloaded a file and then track its journey as it shows up illegally online."

Seeing the need for an Industry-wide solution, the company recently launched a "do it yourself" version of its platform which is completely free for small sites. "A lot of companies are creating DMCA notices themselves and are very successful at it. We are giving them a way to centralize their efforts on our reporting platform for free. They find the links and use our system to report them. That way they can take advantage of the knowledge and automation our system provides in a very cost effective way." The platform is so sophisticated that Porn Guardian clients who also work with companies that (only) provide DMCA Take-down services are asking them to report links using the Porn Guardian platform instead of using their own methods. "Our clients can't go back to the rudimentary systems they were using before. They want to centralize all their efforts on one solid platform. That includes their in-house efforts, Porn Guardian's efforts and other 3rd Party efforts," says Ford. "We provide interfaces for all these different parties to work together."

On the fear-mongering tactics used by some in the industry, Phinney thinks a calm, methodical approach is more effective. ?Piracy is terribly painful,? said Phinney. ?Our success comes largely from our approach, which eliminates the anger and attacks the problem coolly and calmly. We generally achieve better results than copyright owners (or fear mongers) do on their own.? Ford adds, "As a content producer myself, I have a vested interest in stopping piracy not only for the sake of my own site, but for entire industry. Porn Guardian is the only solution with this kind of 'skin in the game'."

The company?s tactics appear to be working. The company has a 99% success rate on getting files removed, has shut down countless illegal trading sites, cut off many pirates from ever opening filesharing accounts again (how they make their money), and has taken tens of thousands of bootleg DVDs out of circulation.

I would have gone with a more mainstream name like "Content Guardian" then I could also get work with mainstream companies Why limit yourself?

DBS: We have a non-porn version of our company that has non-porn clients. PornGuardian specifically addresses the needs of the porn community, of which I am also a content producer.

Gus: 360 degree marketing is a marketing term. It means that we aren't just looking at one piece of the problem (ie: DMCA takedowns, like others in our space) but are providing end-to-end solutions, such as our watermarking system, which is 100% effective so far.

Merina: I think that website probably lists every domain for sale. Ours is certainly not.
we are trying to help the industry, an industry that I have a lot of stake in as a content producer. I am not sure what positive things you are trying to do with your responses, or what their points were, other than try to harm our intent, which seems silly if you are a part of the industry. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem, and your responses don't strike me as being very helpful. People warned me about posting on GFY specifically because of responses like yours.

Whoever warned you about GFY was doing you a favor. This place is full of idiots just waiting to reply stupid shit to a post like yours. That's the way GFY has always been and the way that it will always be. You can either cry about it or buckle up and enjoy the ride

If you thought that GFY was strictly a business board, you were mistaken.

There are better boards out there if you are looking for a friendlier & more professional business atmosphere. This one is 95% bullshit

merina0803 is nobody, no need to address him. Think of him as the small dicked rotten toothed perverted little brother of your little brothers best friends sister that nobody ever knew existed. Put him on ignore.

You do great work Dominic and I'm glad you have the business sense to keep hiring new blood and expanding. You have my support
