Need a webcam script for my 30k amateurs community

I admin an adult amateur website with 30k active users and was thinking about offering then a new service:

A webcam + chat service so that they can follow each others anytime through my website.

Anyone can recommend me a script?
What servers specs would I need to run it?

I have 0% knowledge about webcams world.

Basically because it's SaaS - Software as a Service. We do the maintenance, monitoring and support, already have the hardware and infrastructure set up so you don't have to, and the staff, techies and programmers already on the job so you don't need to hire or invest in any of that.

The example you posted looks very nice. I'd be in for that for my community as well (70k members).

BUT...

I have looked into this already.
You don't seem to want to run just another webcam studio site, so 2much is not for you.

You just don't get around a dedicated streaming server to do anything with webcam. Wowza or Adobe FMS. Both cost $1000. Red5 is more difficult to set up and not very well documented, so I never tried it.

The streaming server software eats resources. So you need a dedicated server for it with ample bandwidth. On top of that, you would need to get a webcam chat script. You could use the free Adobe Stratus service instead, which allows connections via P2P and would therefore allow you to run the site with little to no bandwidth and without having to purchase a streaming server. I have not found a script that supports Adobe Stratus, yet. If you find one, let me know. Also, I've heard that Stratus can be unreliable, so having a FMS as a fallback is probably the best option.

If this is a community with people speaking english i will recommend you get a white label solution. if not better get own soft and own models, but thats a long and rough way to go.
