I just saw the movie "a serious man"

ok, it's funny and in general it's a good movie
but at the end of the movie I felt as if my wife teased me with sex and then told me she has a headache and want's to sleep

I feel undone

do coen brothers do that on every movie because it's not the first time the endings is not really an end and it kinda sucks
know wa' I mean?

They want you to think about stuff, not make you laugh and entertain you. The Coens definitely aren't in the business of spoon feeding the audience. If your idea of entertaining is being fucked with, then they did their job. If you wanted Jim carrey to pop out and say "where's the beef" with a rubber face, then it's probably not for you.

It's also their most Jewish movie. I think there's a lot of deep personal Jew stuff in A Serious Man, and no one will ever figure it out.

Not seen A Serious Man, but with No Country for Old Men I felt like I must have fallen asleep during the last few minutes and missed something as it just sort of fizzled out with no conclusion.

Saw it too, good movie but I really don't remember how it ended. I always thought the main character resembles so good with Joaquin Phoenix.

Repercussions of making the morally wrong decision:

The main character gives in; at last, he decides to keep the bribe money. Moments later, he receives an unwelcome phone call from his doctor and we are meant to believe the prognosis is negative.

A tornado is heading straight for the school. The teacher cannot get the cellar door unlocked. The main character's son, unknowingly, holds all of his classmates' lives in his hands. If he makes the right decision (giving his friend back the money he owes him) we are meant to believe that their lives will be spared. If he makes the wrong decision (not giving the money back) we are meant to believe that they may all die.

Credits roll, and we are left to wonder which decision he ultimately made.

The movie was meant to be a modern day retelling of the book of Job from the old testament. You have to be familiar with that story in order for the movie to make sense.

Likewise with "No country for Old Men" People think the story is about the Llewellyn character and feel ripped off at the ending because it seems like more of a footnote than a climax.

But the movie, like the book is not about a cowboy on the run with drug money, its about an aging country sheriff watching the world go to shit.
