				Domain Scam
Fuck the scamming is getting bad lol This is an old one, but for anybody selling domains or websites watch out for this too A person by the name of Michael Bortman is going around doing a domain apraisel scam His Email To Me michael-bortman@best-domain-investor.com Hello, We are going to buy your domain name. Our company is in hosting and domain name business. Please email us your desired price in USD or euros for the domain name in the subject line. If you have other names for sale please email us your domains with prices. Looking forward to doing business with you. Regards, Michael Bortman CEO Web Hosting Investment Inc Domain Name Investing & Web Development My Email Back Hi the domain and website is listed on Sedo. Please buy through the sedo here website http://www.sedo.com/ Sorry I will not deal with buyers who will not purchess using the sedo platform because of fraud issues Regards Paul His Email Back This domain name can be very profitable with right marketing. What do you think about 4000 USD for your domain name? Have you had your domain names evaluated in the past? I mean domain appraisals. Without valuation we cannot be sure in the sale price. It's very important for me in terms of reselling too. But we must engage a valuation company with REAL manual service. So I will only accept valuations from independent sources I and my partners trust. To avoid mistakes I asked domain experts about reputable appraisal companies. Please check this blog with suggestions from other sellers and buyers: http://www.thenamepros.com/Archive/936418269.htm Do you sell domain with a web site or just the name? Domain without content is ok with me. Web site is not necessary. If, for example, the valuation comes higher you can adjust your asking price accordingly. It will be fair. I also hope you can give me 12% - 15% discount. After you send me the valuation via email (usually it takes 1-2 days to obtain it) we'll continue our negotiations. What is your preferred payment method: Escrow.com, International wire transfer, PayPal.com or something else? Hope we can come to an agreement fast. Looking forward to your reply. My Reply Back I once again thank you for your email If you wish to purchase the domain name please do so through Sedo.co.uk . It has a listed price of £1000 which is roughly $2000 As I said before that is the only way which I am prepared to sell the domain. The domain comes with the website if you want it. I will be putting it up for auction on Sedo next week, so if you do want the domain for the listed price on Sedo I suggest you buy it now as I have no control of how much it will sell for Regards Paul My Last Email Sent To Him And BTW do you realy think i am going to fall for your domain scam LOL its so old its not even true I guess you thought I was a noob huh Maybe I should post your name and emails to me on the real namepros forum ? What do you think ? Regards Paul Yep i did post them on namepros Stupid fuck |

				 | Yeah the appraisal scam has been around for a decade. Just send him back the appraisal from Estibot and tell him you're ready to proceed with the sale.

				 | appraisal scams have been around forever. Never pay for an appraisal. If he wants an appraisal he can pay for it himself.

				 | I had someone email to ask me to please let a domain name expire since they wanted it. Interesting and honest approach I guess. Didn't work since I want it still. Good try though.

				 | In other news, you probably didn't just have a relative pass away overseas that left you millions of dollars. Hard to believe, but true.
