Spiders are invading my house !!!

I guess Spring is here. My house is under attack from damn spiders again.

Finding two or three in here every day now. Seems each time we even open the back door, they are just waiting to get in.

What's the best thing to use to stop them coming near? If anything?

I hate spiders!!!

Turn a handful of geckos loose in your house. Let them mate and live in your house. They keep our insects under control most of the time. Here and there we get a spider or an ant invasion, but the geckos do a pretty good job.

My mom has one of these in her garage after finding a nest of rats in the intake of her car a while ago, she said the spiders seem to be staying away too.

When I lived in Malta we got some spiders, not huge or anything, I usually just killed them but we noticed they stopped or were much less.. one day we saw a little Ghecko had moved in, we found him in the hall way. Great little things, he took care of all the spiders but he freaked my fiancee out a bit, she wanted him gone. I kept him for a week or so but eventually she wanted him out. The spiders never came back in the rest of the time we were there.

A month after we left Malta we went on holiday to The Maldives and got a beach villa, the amount of gheckos we had at night on our walls and ceiling were amazing! I counted 40 at one point inside our Villa. She was kinda freaked by it but after the first night she didn't mind anymore.

When I say I'm a expert about this I mean it. I have wasted thousands of dollars on pest control. The ONLY thing that works is food quality DM earth. Use a lawn spreader and spread it out on your lawn and spread it heavier close to your house. Stuff is cheap. First treatment do it heavy, then once a month a light application will do. Trust me on this. After a month all the spiders will be dead or dying, after 3 months you won't have a single insect in your lawn. You need to do it monthly so any new insects heading to your house will die from walking thru it. Make sure you throw some of this DM dirt on your shrubs also. And make sure it's food grade, not the normal stuff used for pool filters. It has to be very very fine to work. Oh and wear a n95 mask when you spread it.

Ironic that I discovered this earlier. I bought a pound of it off EBay.I have a cat so I want natural pesticide .apparently it gets rid of bedbugs, flea and tick control on pets and insects.

Ironically, Ortho Home Defense is great for most things, BUT one exception is.. you guessed it.. house spiders

Whenever I use it in my basement for example, the ONLY bugs I see for about 6 months are brown house spiders. They seem to go on the hunt for their now dead prey and expose themselves on floor and walls. Easy to swat at that point, but still.

DM earth is microscopic ground up sea shells basically right? So it's good for any soft bodied insect since it's like a barrier of razor wire to them. Literally slashes them to bits when they try to cross it.

Since I live in the north, we do not have the problems with huge ass spiders many see in the south. There is only one that is a real pain to humans, I wanna say it's the brown spider, that if it bites you... your skin rots and you have to go to the ER. The rest are fairly harmless.

I am no fan of insects of ANY kind. That being said, I will take a spider over almost any other creepy crawlies. Including ants, bees, wasps, beetles, and so forth.
